Your draft is saved only in this browser (localStorage) so you can come back later — "Clear draft" removes it completely. The PDF uses standard fonts and a single column on purpose: recruiter software reads it perfectly.
How to build a resume
- Start with the header — name, one-line title, and contact details. A recruiter should know who you are in three seconds.
- Add experience with numbers — one achievement per line, starting with an action verb: "Cut onboarding time 40% by redesigning the setup flow".
- Download and proofread — open the PDF, check every line, and save it with your name in the filename.
What makes a resume ATS-friendly
- Single column — two-column layouts and text boxes confuse parsing software.
- Standard section names — Experience, Education, Skills. Not "My journey".
- Real text, no images — this tool outputs selectable text, so every word is readable by software.
- Keywords from the job post — mirror the exact terms the posting uses ("project management", not "herding cats").
Good to know
Keep it to one page if you have under ~10 years of experience; two pages maximum otherwise. The PDF supports Latin alphabets — very large character sets (CJK, Arabic) are not embedded yet. Nothing is uploaded: the whole resume is assembled in your browser and the draft lives in local storage on your own device. Related: email signature generator and invoice generator.
Is this resume builder really free?
Yes — no account, no watermark, no paywall at the download step. The PDF is generated locally in your browser with an open-source engine.
Where is my resume data stored?
Only in your own browser, as a local draft so you can come back and keep editing. Nothing is uploaded or sent anywhere. The Clear draft button removes it completely.
Will this resume pass ATS screening?
The output is deliberately ATS-friendly: a single column, standard fonts, real selectable text, no tables or graphics. Recruiter software can read every section. The content still has to match the job — use the same keywords the posting uses.
