How to make a smaller image

  1. Choose one or more JPG, PNG or WebP files, up to 20 MB each.
  2. Pick the output format and quality. For resizing or cropping, enter dimensions or use a size preset.
  3. Run the tool, compare the actual file sizes, then download individual copies or a ZIP of the batch.

Your original files stay unchanged. Already optimized images and lossless PNG output may produce a larger copy; check the result before sharing.

WHY USE IT

Less file weight.
More room to move.

01

Private by default

Images are decoded and compressed inside your browser. They never leave your device.

02

Useful formats

Choose WebP for smaller web images, JPG for compatibility, or PNG when transparency matters.

03

Made for batches

Process several images together, then download each result or save the full batch at once.

QUICK ANSWERS
Are my images uploaded?

No. Compression happens locally in your browser. This page does not send your image files to a server.

Which format should I choose?

WebP is a good default for websites. Use JPG for photographs that need broad compatibility, and PNG when you need transparent pixels or lossless output.

Why did a PNG become larger?

PNG is lossless and some already-optimized files cannot be reduced further. Try WebP or JPG when transparency is not needed.
