Prepayments are included in the scenario shown above.
This uses a fixed nominal annual rate, monthly compounding, and a reducing-balance formula. Currency is for display only; actual lenders may use different rounding, fees, taxes, insurance, daily interest, or prepayment rules.
How is EMI calculated?
The monthly rate is the annual rate divided by 12. For a reducing-balance loan, the fixed EMI is calculated from the principal, monthly rate, and number of monthly payments. At 0% interest, the principal is divided evenly.
What does a prepayment scenario show?
The scheduled EMI stays the same while extra monthly or one-time amounts reduce principal. The tool compares the resulting payoff count and interest with the baseline schedule.
Is this a bank quote or financial advice?
No. It is an educational estimate based on the inputs you provide. Check your lender's repayment schedule, fees, rate type, and prepayment terms before making a decision.
