Crop the photo.
Keep the good part.
Drag a selection over any photo, lock it to a familiar ratio, and download the cropped result — all in your browser.
How do I crop an image online? Add the photo, drag the selection (or pick a ratio like 1:1), then press Crop & Download. Nothing is uploaded and the original stays untouched.

How to crop an image
- Add your photo — it renders locally for the preview.
- Draw the crop area — drag a new selection, or choose a ratio and let it lock.
- Crop & Download — the kept pixels save at their original resolution.
Common crops
- Squares for profile pictures and avatars (1:1)
- 16:9 for video thumbnails and presentations
- Trimming screenshot borders, browser chrome, or scanned page edges
Good to know
The crop region keeps its full original resolution — nothing is upscaled, and the file never leaves your device. Straightening a tilted photo comes next; for now, Rotate image can fix the angle, and the target-size compressor can shrink whatever comes out.
Does cropping reduce quality?
The kept pixels are copied directly with no upscaling. PNG and WebP keep full quality; JPG output is re-encoded once at 92%, which is visually identical.
Can I crop to a square for social media?
Yes. Pick 1:1 in the ratio menu and the selection locks to a square while you drag.
Is the photo uploaded?
No. Cropping and downloading happen entirely inside your browser tab.
