The Diplomat Season 4.
Scores, in context.
The Diplomat Season 4 showed a 100% Tomatometer from 14 critic reviews and a 73% Popcornmeter with fewer than 50 audience ratings when we checked Rotten Tomatoes on October 17, 2026. These are two different approval measures, and both can change as reviews arrive.
Sources checked October 17, 2026, at 03:25 UTC — the live Rotten Tomatoes Season 4 page, Rotten Tomatoes’ score definitions and Netflix’s season announcement. This is a spoiler-free information brief, not our review of the season.
100% is the share of positive critic reviews, not a 10-out-of-10 average rating. Read it with the review count and the season number. For the latest figure, open the linked Season 4 page rather than relying on an undated screenshot.
The score snapshot
These figures came from the Season 4 page on Rotten Tomatoes, checked at 03:25 UTC on October 17. They are a dated record, not an automatically updating score feed.
| Measure | What the page showed |
|---|---|
| Tomatometer | 100%, from 14 critic reviews. |
| Popcornmeter | 73%, with fewer than 50 audience ratings. |
| Scope | The Diplomat, Season 4. Not an individual episode or the combined series. |
The counts are part of the answer. A percentage based on 14 reviews describes a smaller body of opinion than the same percentage after many more reviews. The audience count is a range, so we cannot recover an exact number of positive votes from the displayed percentage.
Why 100% does not mean every critic gave it full marks
In Rotten Tomatoes’ own explanation, the Tomatometer measures the proportion of professional reviews classified as positive. It does not average the numerical grades into a percentage. A positive review can still contain reservations.
The Popcornmeter comes from audience ratings, a separate pool of responses. The site counts ratings of at least 3.5 out of 5 as positive for that measure. The two headline percentages therefore tell you about different groups; neither is a forecast of how much you personally will enjoy the show.
Where to watch Season 4
Netflix’s October 15 announcement says all 8 episodes are streaming. Netflix’s season-launch article also confirms the October 15 debut and identifies Netflix as the platform.

If two pages show different numbers
- Check the season. A series page, Season 4 page and episode page can show different measures.
- Check the count and date. Search summaries and screenshots can preserve an earlier snapshot.
- Open the source page. Use its current percentage and sample size together.
During this check, the search result still showed 9 critic reviews while the live page showed 14. We used the live page for the table above. This brief helps interpret the figures; it does not replace reading a few reviews whose preferences you understand.
