# ComfyUI and node workflows — Tool Pantry

> ComfyUI workflow libraries, cloud runners and helper tools — what each one is for, and when a local graph is still the better answer.

## About

ComfyUI is the node editor most serious image pipelines are built on. The ecosystem around it is about one thing: not rebuilding the same graph every time. Browse for a workflow, run it somewhere with enough VRAM, or start from a layout you already drew.

## Tools

- **[ComfyUI](https://www.comfy.org/)** (Open source, Node editor) — The node-based editor itself. Save a graph once, re-run it forever, and change one node without touching the rest.
- **[Comfy Workflows](https://comfyworkflows.com/)** (Community library) — Shared ComfyUI graphs with preview images. Search here before building anything from scratch.
- **[OpenArt](https://openart.ai/)** (Library, Browser editor) — Workflow and model library with an editor in the browser, aimed at people who want node control without a local install.
- **[RunComfy](https://www.runcomfy.com/)** (Cloud GPU) — Runs ComfyUI workflows on rented GPUs. The usual answer when the graph does not fit on your card.
- **[ComfyUI Manager](https://github.com/ltdrdata/ComfyUI-Manager)** (Open source, Add-on) — Installs the custom nodes a downloaded workflow assumes you already have. The first add-on most people install.
- **[MOSS-Image layout editor](https://toolpantry.app/moss-image-layout-editor)** (Tool Pantry, Local) — Draw a layout and edit the MOSS-Image JSON by hand, with nothing uploaded. Useful when a workflow expects positioned elements rather than a sentence.
- **[FLUX layout prompt generator](https://toolpantry.app/flux-bounding-box-generator)** (Tool Pantry, Local) — Draw bounding boxes on a 0–1000 grid and export the FLUX 3 layout prompt as element JSON.

## FAQ

**Do I need a GPU to use ComfyUI?**

Not strictly — it runs in the cloud too — but locally it wants a decent card. If a workflow refuses to fit, RunComfy and similar services rent the hardware by the hour.

**Where do I find a workflow for a specific effect?**

Start with Comfy Workflows or OpenArt and search the effect, not the tool name. A working graph with a preview image tells you more than a description.

**Why does a downloaded workflow show red nodes?**

It uses custom nodes you have not installed. ComfyUI Manager installs them; after that, restart and reload the workflow.
